• How do the logos of the competitors look?
Study thoroughly the logos of the competitors. The intention behind this should not be to copy it, but to create such a logo that is unique and attractive. If those standardized colors and patterns have to be maintained then the designer who believes on excellent web design and logo design has to think a bit deeper for making the logo unique. • Is the Communication able to bridge the distance between the designer and the business?
The communication between the logo designer and the business should be open and transparent. The business should be first clear as to what it wants to convey through the logo. Whatever communication transpires between the designer and the business should be written and given a deep thought. The designer should ask the client what to include and what to exclude. The designer should neither have a biased approach nor any fixed opinion before through examination of the ground realities.
• Do you resort to Listing the key thoughts and considerations?
Whatever thought that comes to your mind should be listed. The list should include the points you noted during the communication with the client, study of the logos of the competitors and the creative thoughts that come to you when thinking about the logo designing project.
• Why not take a break?
If you are having a lot of logo designing work to do, it is possible that you may get mentally tired. Usually a break is necessary to break the chain of monotony. There are two types of breaks that one can resort to. One is taking off some time simply doing nothing while the other type of break is about doing a complete different work for some time. The logo designer should have creativity and this creativity gets rejuvenated by the breaks. The breaks can provide you with new ideas for the logo design.

Once the listing is done you should start preparing rough sketches of the logos. Try as many permutations and combinations as you can with the colors, elements and fonts that you have earlier chosen. Some logo designs are such that they look completely different on paper than on the computer screen. So it is better to take out the prints. Once you have prepared the sketches you can ask your professional acquaintances and friends about which logo looks the best. The designer should never try to influence the feedback from any neutral or unbiased commentator.
• Are you still learning or stopped learning?
One should never stop learning, especially when you are in the field of logo designing. This sector has to face frequent technical developments. If you stop learning, your competitors are not going to be left behind.
